CABANATUAN CITY — A mini-reshuffle of chiefs of police was implemented in Nueva Ecija this month of July.

In Palayan City, Nueva Ecija’s capital city, a new police chief was installed on Monday in the person of Lt. Col. Chito Macaspac, who was formerly designated as chief of the Nueva Ecija Criminal Investigation and Detection Group in July last year.

Macaspac replaced erstwhile city police head Lt. Col. Renato C. Morales, who was reassigned back here prior to the May 2022 polls after getting relieved as chief of police in July 2020 and designated as police head in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Aside from Palayan City, the mini-revamp also affected San Jose City and the towns of Cabiao and San Isidro.

The reshuffle in San Jose City took place a week ago, with Lt. Col. Ariel V. Enriquez assuming the top police post vice Lt. Col. Marlon M. Cudal, who was reassigned at the Nueva Ecija police headquarters after serving as police chief for less than a year since August 3 last year.

In Cabiao, former San Isidro police head Maj. Shariel C. Paulino assumed as the new officer-in-charge, replacing Major Gerald D. Fernandez, who was designated as the Nueva Ecija provincial police administration chief.

Meanwhile, Maj. Rammel L. Ebarle was appointed as officer-in-charge at the San Isidro police station.

Provincial police information chief Capt. Franklin D. Sindac said the minor shake-up was considered a “normal movement at the police force.”
