4 drug suspects yield P544K shabu in P’que, Makati drug busts

AROUND P544,000 worth of shabu was seized by authorities from four drug suspects in a separate buy-bust operation Tuesday evening in Parañaque and Makati cities.

Authorities collared three residents of Silverio Compound in Bgy. San Isidro, Parañaque City at around 8:30 p.m. after they sold a plastic sachet of shabu worth P500 to police poseur-buyer inside a house in Bacawan St. Purok 1, Silverio Compound, San Isidro, Parañaque City.

Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) who conducted a drug sting operation recovered 29 plastic sachets of shabu worth P204,000, marked money, a black pouch, and a wallet from the suspects.

The suspects were presented for inquest proceedings before the Parañaque City Prosecutor’s Office for violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Earlier, at around 7:17 p.m, Makati Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) arrested a woman near her residence in Aguilar St. Bgy. Tejeros, Makati City, after she handed a plastic sachet of shabu to an undercover cop in exchange for P1,000 marked money.

The suspect, an alleged “notorious” drug suspect who is included in a drug watch list, yielded a total of P340,000 worth of shabu, a coin purse, and the marked money.

She is presently under the custody of Makati City Police Station for proper disposition.
