4 ‘drug peddlers’ nabbed in Laguna

LAGUNA police arrested four men involved in illegal drugs in two separate anti-illegal drug activities Thursday in Biñan City, and Rizal, Laguna.

Laguna acting Provincial Director PCol. Rogarth Campo reported to Calabarzon Regional Director PBGen. Antonio Yarra said the arrested suspects were Danilo Francisco, 52, jobless, of Bgy. Sto Tomas, Armando Puche, 40, and Kenneth De Guzman, 40, all of Biñan City, Laguna.

A preventive search led to the confiscation of five plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated weight of 1.2 grams with Dangerous Drugs Board value of P7,800, a coin purse, P300 drug money, and a P500 buy-bust money.

In a separate police operation, Puche, 40, tricycle driver, and De Guzman, 40, caretaker, both of Binan City were arrested during a pot session.

A preventive search led to the confiscation of one plastic sachet of shabu and drug paraphernalia.

In Rizal Municipal Police Station under the direct supervision of PCapt. Paul Raymund R. Ayon, acting Chief of Police arrested Leuvino Lindo, 59, tricycle driver of Bgy. Sta Cruz Putol, San Pablo City.

The suspect was nabbed at around 7:15 p.m. at Bgy. Tala, Rizal, Laguna – who sold illegal drugs to an undercover police officer in exchange for P500.

A preventive search led to the confiscation of four plastic sachets of shabu with an estimated street value of P2,000, one Red Belt bag, confiscated drug money, and recovered P500 buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects will be charged for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002, and the seized pieces of evidence will be submitted to the Crime Laboratory Office for forensic examination.

“Illegal drug traders [have] no place in Laguna and [we’re] united in our fight against illegal drugs, we will exert our best efforts to achieve a drug-free province,” said PCol. Campo.
