3 ‘Paihi Gang’ members fall in Quezon
LUCENA CITY – Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) agents on Tuesday arrested three suspected “Paihi Gang” members engaged in the pilferage of petroleum products while selling diesel at Purok 1, Barangay San Luis 2, Guinayangan, Quezon.
CIDG-Quezon Chief Lt. Col. Bernouli Abalos said agents arrested the three suspects in the said barangay.
With the assistance of Guinayangan Municipal Police Station (MPS) operatives and elements of the 405th Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB 4-A), Abalos said they carried out the operation at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, which lasted at 2:30 a.m. the following day.
Abalos said the operation resulted in the seizure of 107 plastic containers containing 28 liters of diesel each, with a total street value of P194,640.
He said the stolen petroleum products were loaded in a Fuzo wing van, which they eventually impounded.
The suspects were detained at Quezon CIDG detention cell and were charged with violations of Section 2 Para. A of BP 33 as amended by PD 1865.
