3 most wanted rape suspects in Bicol caught
POLICE Regional Office 5 director, Brigadier General Jonnel C. Estomo yesterday announced the arrest of three most wanted rape suspects, all facing non-bailable cases in the region, following separate manhunt operations.
He said that one of the suspects identified as Ryan Arcega, a resident of Bgy. Quirapi in Castilla, Sorsogon, was arrested in his neighborhood Thursday.
The suspect is the subject of a warrant of arrest for two counts of rape and three counts for violation of the Anti-Child Abuse Law issued by Judge Zach Ziga of the Sorsogon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 12.
Tagged as Castilla municipality’s No. 1 most wanted man, the suspect was accused of sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl before going into hiding when the victim’s family filed a case against him in court.
The 2nd identified as Jhon Felix Clavecillas, a resident of Purok 1, Bgy. Naga in Tiwi, Albay, was arrested on the basis of a warrant for eight counts of rape issued by Judge Blancaflor Joven-Salgado of the Tabaco City RTC Branch 3.
The accused became wanted for raping a minor in their community before hiding in different places to escape arrest. He has been listed as the 2nd most wanted person in Tiwi prior to his arrest.
The 3rd, Henry Beraquit, a laborer from Purok 7, Bgy. Common in Tabaco City, Albay, was arrested on orders of Judge Alben Rabe of the Tabaco City RTC Branch 16 on August 28, 2019.
Estomo said that the suspect became the 5th most wanted man in Tabaco City since 2019 when he was investigated for raping a minor. He said that the suspect was arrested at the King Jjamppong Restaurant in Bgy. San Antonio in Makati City.
