TWO siblings and a female cohort considered “high-value individuals (HVIs) for illegal drugs were nabbed by Eastern Police District (EPD) and yielded over P300,000 worth of shabu and firearm following a buy-bust operation in Pasig City on Monday.

In a report submitted to EPD Director P/BGen. Wilson Asueta, the siblings were 43 and 38 years old, while the female suspect is the wife of one of the siblings, all residents of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City.

Authorities said the trio was responsible for the illicit drug trade in their barangay, expanding to other areas.

The District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) conducted the buy-bust operation after a week of surveillance along Donabel Compound, Eusebio Avenue, Pasig City at around 3:30 pm.

The suspects were captured after selling shabu to a poseur-buyer.

Recovered were five plastic sachets of shabu weighing 55.11 grams and valued at P347,648, a 9mm pistol with three live bullets, and the marked money.

Asueta said they will continue their “relentless” campaign against illegal drugs in the eastern part of Metro Manila.

The suspects are now detained at Pasig Police Custodial facility and facing charges of violation of RA (Republic Act) 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulation Act).
