3 Dasma cops, cohort nabbed for P1M shabu
DASMARIÑAS CITY, Cavite – Three active policemen in this locality and one female accomplice were caught by their colleagues in the buy-bust operation conducted by the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU), Wednesday, February 1, 2023.
The three policemen identified, two assigned at Dasmariñas Community Precinct Station and one from Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) Dasmariñas City Police Station, and their cohort – were all considered “high-value individuals” for illegal drugs.
In the report gathered from the office of Cavite Provincial Director P/col. Christopher Olazo, the combined force of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) 4A, Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) of Cavite PPO, Dasmariñas CPS, Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 4A, Provincial Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG-SOU4), and PDEA 4A launched the operation after days of surveillance.
Two police suspects and the cohort were first arrested in the buy-bust, while Magsalin was arrested in the follow-up operation.
The suspect was unwittingly transacted with a police poseur buyer during the buy-bust operations and was caught red-handed.
Recovered were two knotted plastic bags and one sealed plastic bag of shabu weighing more than 205 grams worth P1,394,000.
Operatives also seized two small plastic sachets of shabu weighing two grams worth P13,600, a blue sling bag, a checkered pouch, two cellphones, and the buy-bust money.
Seized from one suspect, a police corporal, were 16 plastic sachets of shabu and a small zip lock bag containing more than three grams of shabu valued at P24,000, four cellphones; a black wallet containing a PNP ID, one Armscor Caliber .45, four magazines of Cal .45, 34 Cal .45 bullets; a black body bag, black coin purse. and cash.
The other suspects also yielded their pistols, PNP IDs, several cellphones, and other personal belongings.
During the police follow-up operation, a patrolman suspect was captured after attempting to escape on board his Toyota Altis in Salitran, Dasmariñas City.
