NASA ligtas nang kalagayan ang 21 Filipino seafarers na sakay ng MV Tutor na inatake ng Houthi rebels sa Red Sea sa bahagi ng Yemen.

Sa pahayag ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang, sinabi ni Department of Migrant Workers Secretary Hans Leo Cacdac na nagkaroon ng rescue mission ang pinagsanib na pwersa ng international organization para ligtas ang mga Filipino seafarers.

“And as of around 10:30 to 11 P.M. last night, nagkaroon ng rescue ‘no ang combined international forces doon and na-extract from the ship, kasi iyong ship was adrift in the southern Red Sea, immobilize siya but stable, okay, hindi siya lumubog. So, in-extract iyong 21 Filipino seafarers and they were boarded onto a security forces ship and taken to safer port,” pahayag ni Cacdac.

Ayon kay Cacdac patuloy na pinaghananap pa ngayon ang isang Filipino seafarer na nakulong sa engine room nang umatake ang mga rebelde gamit ang drones at missiles.

“So, we are still searching for him. Late yesterday afternoon, I accompanied the family of the missing seafarer to the office of the manning agency and I met the ship owner’s agent there and we were assured that we will not stop/not cease in terms of locating our missing seafarer who is just within the ship,” pahayag ni Cacdac.

Malinaw aniya ang utos ni Pangulong Marcos na tiyaking ligtas ang lahat ng Filipino seafarers.
