2 wanted persons for drugs, rape caught in Cagayan Valley

POLICE Regional Office 2 director, Brigadier General Steve B. Ludan yesterday announced the arrest of two most wanted law offenders in Cagayan Valley following separate anti-crime operations.

In a report to Philippine National Police chief, General Dionardo B. Carlos, the official said that one of the suspects identified as Sean Diezel Bayangan was arrested for his drug trafficking activities in Tuguegarao City.

The suspect yielded some P25,000 worth of shabu and dried marijuana leaves, the P4,000 worth of boodle money topped by a marked P1,000 bill and a motorcycle without plate number during the sting along del Paul Street in Bgy. Balzain East which was conducted by members of the Tuguegarao City Police Station and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Ludan said the 2nd arrested suspect he identified as Gary Flores, a 46-year-old construction worker, has been tagged as the 20th most wanted person in Metro Manila where he is facing charges for two counts of rape.

The official said the suspect, a known resident of Bgy. 73, PNR Compound in Caloocan City, was tracked down in his hiding place in Bgy. 3 in San Mateo, Isabela by members of the local police and the CIDG National Capital Region Field Unit, the Quezon City Police District and the Regional Intelligence Unit-NCR.

He said that the accused was charged with raping a 13-year-old girl in Caloocan City on April 9, 2017, before going into hiding after a criminal case was filed against him before a local court.
