2 nabbed over QC gas station robbery
QUEZON City policemen have arrested two suspects who allegedly robbed a gasoline station in Quezon City.
PLTCOL Leoben Ong, Project 4 Police Station (PS 8) chief, identified the suspects as Keith Richard Robosa, 36, and Jimbo Robosa, 27, both residents of Brgy. Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
A report showed that at about 3:40 a.m. of February 3, 2023 three unidentified men on board a white Toyota Tamaraw FX arrived and acted as customers.
One of the suspects approached the gasoline attendant, drew his firearm, and took all the items from the cash drawer and fled towards southbound of Katipunan Ave.
Through the aid of the close circuit television (CCTV) footage which was obtained at the place of the incident, a hot pursuit operation was immediately conducted by joint operatives of PS 8 and District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) under PLTCOL Rolando S Lorenzo Jr., in coordination with Pasay City Police Station (SWAT), Southern Police District (SPD) team led by PMAJ Neil H Deveraturda.
While in the process, an informant disclosed that the getaway vehicle of the suspects was already sold to one Jean Beaw Robosa, resident of P7- 02, 12 3rd St., Brgy. Villamor Air Base, Pasay City.
With this information, the operatives proceeded to the area which resulted to the arrest of the suspects who were positively identified by the victim.
Continuous manhunt operation is being conducted for the arrest of the suspects’ alleged cohorts.
Recovered from the suspects were a cellular cellphone and Toyota Revo with plate number WLR-579.
The suspects will be subjected to inquest proceedings for robbery (holdup) before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
PBGen Nicolas Torre III commended PS 8 personnel for the successful arrest of the suspects and the confiscation of the said evidences.
“Pinapaalalahanan ko po ang publiko na mag-doble ingat dahil sa panahon ngayon ay maraming nagigipit at kumakapit sa patalim kung kaya’t dapat na ipagbigay-alam kaagad sa kapulisan ang mga ganitong insidente upang mabigyan ng agarang aksyon,” he added.
