SAN LEONARDO, Nueva Ecija – Two women who became best friends have turned into bitter enemies after one of them went online via Facebook to “expose” their private conversations detailing the complainant’s supposed debts incurred about an unpaid mobile phone loaned to him by the suspect.

Police head Major Jaime Ferrer identified the arrested suspect as Florida Fernando, 34, of Bgy. Rizal, this town.

Her arrest was carried out by an arrest warrant for violation of Republic Act 10175 or the Anti-Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

Warrant operatives nabbed Fernando on Monday at 9:10 a.m. upon serving an arrest warrant issued by the Gapan City Regional Trial Court Branch 34 on April 20, 2022, with recommended bail for her temporary liberty set at P30,000.

“Dati silang magkaibigan, nagkasiraan lang nang sinend niya (suspect) yung mga conversation nila na pinicturan na mga paninira dahil sa utang,” said Ferrer in his text message to the Journal Group.

He said the complainant sued the suspect after finding the latter’s posts over social media “damaging” her reputation. By Steve A. Gosuico
