10 nabbed in MM drug busts
AN intensified campaign against illegal drugs in the southern area of Metro Manila (MM) resulted in the arrest of 10 drug personalities and the confiscation of P.3 million worth of shabu Wednesday in Makati, Taguig, and Las Piñas.
Southern Police District (SPD) Director P/BGen. Jimili Macaraeg said Precy Lava, 25, Renniel Tayson, 26, Geraldine Ora, 33, and Rizalino Galleon, 48 were nabbed by operatives of the District Drug Enforcement Unit (DDEU) while having pot session at around 2:25 a.m. at Sanzibar St. Brgy. San Isidro, Makati City.
Police seized from them more or less 2.3 grams of shabu valued at P15,640.00 and drug paraphernalia.
At aroud 6:30 p.m., SDEU operatives arrested Gabriel Gabriel, 54, and Ronel Cruz, 52, after conspiring to sell a plastic sachet of shabu worth P500 in a buy-bust operation conducted at No. 11 Tejeros Blissmart Compound, Brgy. Tejeros.
Around 9 grams of shabu worth P61,200, an analog cellular phone, and marked money were seized from the suspects.
In Taguig City, elements of DDEU seized from Feliciano Garsisto, 46, and Asnairah Marmaya, 23, some 25 grams of shabu valued at P170, 000 and P500 marked money following a drug sting operation.
In another anti-drug operation conducted at around 11:40 p.m. by elements of Las Piñas City Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), Ramcille De San Jose, 20, and Ranny Singcoy, 36, yielded more or less 11.9 grams of shabu with a street value of P80,920 and the P300 marked money.
Macaraeg said all arrested suspects are now facing charges for selling and possession of illegal drugs under R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act while the seized illegal drugs were turned over to SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
