1 nabbed for selling ‘stolen’ MC on Facebook
AUTHORITIES arrested a 25-year-old man who allegedly sold an alleged “stolen” motorcycle in Facebook Marketplace to its owner on Thursday in Quezon City.
The suspect was collared by policemen in an entrapment operation along Susano Road in Barangay San Agustin at around 10 p.m., June 8, 2023.
A report from the Novaliches Police Station showed a Honda Wave 125 motorcycle was stolen from the house of the vehicle’s owner on May 28.
On Thursday, the victim noticed that his motorcycle was already up for sale on Facebook Marketplace.
Acting on the victim’s complaint, operatives of the Novaliches Police Station 4 conducted an entrapment operation wherein the victim posed as the buyer.
Police captured the suspect after the victim positively identified he was in possession of the motorcycle.
The suspect is now detained on charges of violation of the Anti-Fencing Law, or Presidential Decree 1612.
