What Karylle deserves
IT’S official! ‘It’s Showtime’ is now GMA’s noontime show.
Nitong Miyerkules, sanib-pwersang inanunsyo ng Kapuso at Kapamilya Channel executives ang pagpapalabas ng nasabing programa sa GMA. The program’s hosts were welcomed at the Studio 7 of GMA thru a grand contract signing, hosted by Robi Domingo and Iya Villania, as witnessed by the entertainment press.
Times have really changed so is the TV landscape. ABS-CBN is now a global content creator and provider, disrupting the Philippine entertainment. Dati magkaribal, ngayon magkasangga na. The Kapamilya noontime show has moved from UNTV, TV 5 , GTV to GMA. Patunay na iba pa rin ang free channel TV. Dahil sa mga probinsya, TV pa rin ang pangunahing platform sa panonood nila ng mga TV programs. Ngayon na nasa GMA na ito, siguradong madadagdagan ang commercial load nito.The transfer of ‘It’s Showtime’ to GMA is definitely another milestone in the history of Philippine TV.
Sa nasabing event, isa-isang tinawag at solo entrance ang mga major hosts na sina Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Kim Chiu at Ogie Alcasid. Pero kapansin-pansin na sabay tinawag at pumasok sina Karylle at Amy Perez. Hindi ba deserved ni Karylle ang mag-solo entrance? Yes, she may not be as ‘bankable’ as Kim Chiu but Karylle deserves to be treated fairly by the program? Hindi talaga uso ang seniority sa showbiz. Isa pa, hindi ba considered na major host ng ‘It’s Showtime’ si Karylle? Just asking…
