Van rams resto in Angeles, female customer killed
ANGELES CITY, PAMPANGA — A 66-year-old woman died while a service crew was injured after a van rammed a resto in Brgy. Balibago in Angeles City.
PMAJ Aris Gonzales identified the suspect Matthew Rosario Pasuquin, 29, of 51-08 Dahlia St. Timog Park, Cutcut, Angeles City.
Pasuquin was driving backward in the parking area of Susie’s Cuisine when he hit a parked car in front of the establishment.
Gonzales said Pasuquin continued to drive backwards and went inside the restaurant hitting customer Maribel Paras Beltran and the restaurant’s service worker Perlyn Rivera.
The victims were rushed to the Rafael Lazatin Memorial Medical Center where Beltran was declared dead upon arrival while Rivera sustained body injuries.
After the incident, the suspect sped-off and left the scene of the accident.
However, he was arrested by Angeles City SWAT team members Cpt. Rodolfo Quiroz and Lt. Ron Alvin Miguel who were manning a checkpoint on Arayat Blvd., Brgy. Pampang, Angeles City
The suspect will be charged with homicide, physical injury and multiple damage to property.
