V-League: FEU, St. Benilde part ways

FAR Eastern University and College of Saint Benilde collide in a highly-charged V-League Collegiate Challenge duel at the Paco Arena today.

Two of the three undefeated squads in the women’s tournament, the Lady Tamaraws and the Lady Blazers are going all out to keep their perfect records in the 12 noon match.

Lyceum of the Philippines University and Enderun Colleges tangle in the first women’s contest at 10 a.m.

After racking up four victories in convincing fashions to gain a share of the lead with idle University of the East, FEU gear up for a stern test against Benilde, which is not far behind with a 3-0 card.

“Ang focus lang namin is one game at a time. Kung ano yung nasa harap namin, yun yung kailangan namin trabahuin,” said Manolo Refugia, who is unbeaten as Lady Tamaraws interim coach.

The Lady Blazers, the reigning two-time NCAA champions, are also going flat-out as they face a UAAP side for the first time in the tournament.

In men’s play, La Salle seeks to bounce back from a five-set setback to National University as it faces Emilio Aguinaldo College at 2 p.m. while FEU and San Beda take the floor at 4 p.m.
