Tricycle driver yields guns, bullets in house’ raid
POLICE yesterday arrested a trike driver after guns and several bullets were seized from his house in Nueva Ecija.
In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director Brig. Gen. Jose Hidalgo Jr., Nueva Ecija police commander Lt. Col. Jay Dimaandal identified the arrested suspect as Benjamin Parada Tomas, 63, of Purok 4, Bgy. Sta Maria, Licab, Nueva Ecija.
Dimaandal said joint elements of the 303rd Mobile Company Regional Mobile Force Battalion 3, together with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Provincial Field Unit Nueva Ecija, Regional Special Operations Group 3, Provincial Intelligence Team Nueva Ecija, Provincial Intelligence Unit Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company NEPPO, Regional Intelligence Unit 3 and the Licab police implemented a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 33 of Guimba, Nueva Ecija for violation of Republic Act 10591 or The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act against Tomas.
Seized from the house of the suspect were a loaded cal. .45 pistol, a magazine for cal. . 45 gun, a .60 mm ball, several cartridges , and a box of bullets for cal. 9mm gun.
The suspect will be charged with violation of RA 10591.
