AKO Bicol Party-list Representative Zaldy Co has taken a vital initiative toward addressing the water scarcity issues faced by the residents of Barangay Bolo in Tiwi, Albay.

The ongoing construction of a level 2 solar-powered water supply system is set to provide a sustainable solution to the community’s long-standing water challenges.

For years, the residents of Bgy. Bolo “struggled” with limited access to clean water.

This scarcity has forced the community to rely on alternative sources, such as fetching water from neighboring barangays, specifically Bgy. Libho, which required physically hauling water containers on foot.

This daily struggle has persisted, impacting the lives of families and hindering their ability to meet their basic water needs.

Being a dedicated public servant, Co is committed to uplifting the people’s lives in his constituency.

Through various initiatives and projects, he aims to address the community’s “pressing” needs and foster sustainable development.

Recognizing the urgent need for a dependable water supply, Co has embarked on an initiative to alleviate the suffering of the community.

The level 2 solar-powered water supply system aims to ensure a sustainable and sufficient water source for every household in Bgy. Bolo.

Kagawad Jonel Siocson, a resident of Bgy. Bolo, spoke about the profound impact this project would have on the community: “Dito sir sa Bolo, matagal na kaming walang malinis na tubig.

Co expressed his commitment to improving the lives of the residents of Bgy. Bolo and his gratitude for their patience, “I am deeply grateful to the residents of Bgy. Bolo for their resilience and patience amidst the water scarcity issues they have faced. We understand the profound impact it has on their daily lives.”

Co further added, “This project is a testament to our commitment to the welfare and development of our constituents. By addressing the long-standing water challenges in Bgy. Bolo, we are fostering a better quality of life for the residents and contributing to their overall well-being. We are grateful for the cooperation and support of the community as we work towards creating positive change together.”

With the completion of this project, the residents of Bgy. Bolo can look forward to a future free from the burden of water scarcity.

The said solar-powered water supply system will serve as a “beacon of hope,” demonstrating the power of collaborative efforts in creating positive change within communities.
