School guard found dead in Lipa City
A 34-YEAR-OLD security guard was found dead lying on the sofa of a fellow guard inside the room of a school in Barangay 2, Lipa City, Batangas, the other day.
Lipa City Police Station (CPS) case investigators PSMS Rodel M. Silva and PSSg. Leo M. Lingao said the fatality was identified as Michael Saligumba, with a live-in partner and resident of Purok 3, Bgy. San Celistino, Lipa City.
Around 7:15 a.m., Edelyn Mendoza, a security agency liaison officer, appeared before Lipa CPS and reported the incident.
Acting on the said report, duty investigators were dispatched and proceeded to the scene.
Investigation showed that at about 6:20 a.m. at the College of the City of Lipa (KLL) Annex, located in Bgy. 2, Lipa City, an incoming security guard of the school discovered the victim lying lifeless slumped on a sofa inside the faculty office.
There were no signs of foul play after the police conducted an ocular investigation.
Likewise, the victim’s family and relatives confirmed that the death was purely natural as the victim frequently complained of “chest pain”.
