STA Rosa, Laguna — Vice presidential and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte vowed to help the next administration to address the unemployment rate, which declined significantly due to the pandemic caused by the COVID-19.

Speaking before the thousand supporters, Mayor Sara said the next administration should create more jobs and opportunities to the Filipinos also to help the economy bounce back.

“Ibalik natin ang mga Negosyo, ibalik natin ang mga trabaho na nawala dahil sa pandemya,” Mayor Sara said.

The presidential daughter is running under Lakas-CMD and Hugpong ng Pagbabago.

“Ang dami po sa ating mga kababayan ang nawalan ng trabaho dahil sa pandemya. Doon po muna tayo tututok, ibalik natin ang trabaho na mawala dahil sa pandemya,” Mayor Sara stressed.

House Majority Leader and Lakas-CMD president Martin Romualdez has accompanied the UniTeam in its caravan and grand rally in Laguna.

Also, Mayor Sara has encouraged women to be entrepreneurs as another way to earn income.

She said the country can rise above the challenges brought by Covid-19 pandemic and the seemingly unending battle against poverty, and security threats.

The Davao City Mayor has shared the achievements of Davao City during her one term as vice mayor and three terms as mayor are doable for the entire country.

“Nagagawa po yan ng mga taga-Davao, kaya po yan ng Pilipinas. Dahan-dahan po, tuloy-tuloy na kaunlaran para sa ating bansa,” she said, referring to the city’s citations as the fourth most competitive city in the country, eighth richest, and debt-free from more than PHP1 billion liabilities in 2016.

Unity and peaceful life for Filipinos, she added, are the core advocacies of her vice presidential bid.

The campaign rallies at the Laguna provincial capitol grounds and Sta. Rosa Sports Complex were attended by UniTeam members. Laguna is a vote-rich province with 1.9 million registered voters as of 2019.
