AGOO, La Union – LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) chairperson Sara Duterte may be from Davao City, but she is still the “lodi” of northern provinces such as La Union.

La Union 2nd district Rep. Sandra Eriguel, the Lakas-CMD provincial chairperson, made this claim Friday as the campaign trail led vice presidential candidate and Davao City Mayor Duterte to the former’s turf.

Barbara, Agoo, La Union.

“Hindi po staged po ito na audience, kusang pumunta po dito para ibigay po ‘yung todong suporta nila sa inyo,” the congresswoman added after the people in attendance cheered for Duterte.

In an ambush interview on the sidelines of the event, Eriguel said that it was an honor to be visited by Duterte who came all the way from the other side of the country.

Number one ka dito sa puso namin sa La Union,” Eriguel said, adding that her team has been backing Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer and former Sen. Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr.

She declared that her district would back the BBM-Sara UniTeam tandem “100 percent.”

“Of course, 100 percent. 100 percent support namin kay Mayor Sara. BBM-Sara tandem po ito,” Eriguel said.
