Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Region 1 director Ronnel Tan receives his office’s award from President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. during the agency’s 125th founding anniversary celebration. With a 92.50% rating, the DPWH Regional Office 1, headed by Tan, ranked 1st on the recent evaluation for the Most Outstanding DPWH Regional Offices (ROs) and District Engineering Offices (DEOs) for CY 2022 conducted by DPWH-Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) Committee. For several years, DPWH Regional Office 1 has consistently been the best regional office. Ronnel was also an awardee as ‘Model Employee’ and ‘Best District Engineer’ during his younger years in the agency and has been consistently awarded as ‘Best Regional Director.’ A Valedictorian and Magna Cum Laude graduate and a young passer of Career Executive Service Officer (CESO), Tan is the husband of Quezon Governor Angelina Tan.
