Philippine Red Cross, Malabon ink MOA to boost students’ safety

MALABON City–The Philippine Red Cross and Malabon City government signed a memorandum of agreement that makes all students, from Grade 1 to senior high school, teachers and staff of schools in Malabon a member of the Philippine Red Cross.

The MoA aims to raise awareness about disaster preparedness and health care; be safe or learn to save others; and spread the culture of volunteerism.

The signing ceremony was held at the City of Malabon University led by Philippine Red Cross Secretary-General Dr. Gwen Pang, PRC Malabon City Chapter Chairman Ricky Sandoval, Malabon City Mayor and Honorary Chairperson of PRC-Malabon City Chapter Jeannie Sandoval, Malabon City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Cecille Carandang, Malabon City Administrator and PRC Board of Directors Member Dr. Alexander Rosete and other members of the Board of Directors, volunteers of the PRC Malabon City Chapter, and principals and teachers in Malabon.
