NORTHPORT Batang Pier and Terrafirma Dyip have only one thing on mind when they face off in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Both the Batang Pier and the Dyip want to return to the win column and keep their chances of making it to the playoffs alive.

The Batang Pier look to end their four-game losing skid, while the Dyip also aim to halt their two-game skid during the 4:30 p.m. encounter.

The Batang Pier of coach Bonnie Tan put up a gallant effort in their 100-120 loss to the San Miguel Beer last Sunday, with Arvin Tolentino leading the team in scoring with 26 points.

The Dyip of coach Johnedel Cardel,on the other hand, will rely on the trio of Juami Tiongson, rookie Stephen Holt and Javier Gomez De Liano.

Tiongson and Holt contributed 20 points each, while Gomez De Liano added 18 points in the loss against Rain or Shine last April 13 at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Super LPG battles the TNT Tropang Giga in the 7:30 p.m. mainer.

Riding on the momentum of a 112-77 victory against the NLEX Road Warriors last April 20 at the Ynares Arena in Pasig City, the Jamike Jarin-mentored Fuel Masters aim to extend their winning streak to two games.

RJ Jazul, Kenneth Tuffin, and Jayjay Alejandro are again expected to lead the Fuel Masters against the Tropang Giga.

However, the Tropang Giga are looking to avenge their 83-87 setback at the hands of Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings last April 19 at the Philsports Arena.

The Tropang Giga of coach Chot Reyes will lean on Gilas mainstays Calvin Oftana and RR Pogoy, who both contributed 19 points each to lead the scoring for the TNT.
