Pandesal vendor found dead in Ecija
STO. DOMINGO, Nueva Ecija – Police are investigating the death of a 46-year-old pandesal vendor whose dead body was found beside a mahogany tree here on Sunday morning.
Police head Major Abraham C. Atencio said they were alerted by a phone call from a concerned citizen at 6:45 a.m. informing them that a dead man was found along the Nueva Ecija-Pangasinan Road in Purok 1, Barangay Sto. Rosario here.
Responding operatives found the victim, of the same barangay, lying dead beside a tree in the said area.
The victim’s brother-in-law told police he saw the victim sleeping beside the tree at 5:00 p.m. the day before because he was allegedly heavily intoxicated.
Atencio said they requested the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) to process the crime scene.
