Chief cook collared for shabu in Sto. Tomas

CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Authorities arrested a 41-year-old chief cook on Sunday for possession of shabu, according to a warrant of arrest issued against him in Barangay San Rafael, Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, provincial police PIO (Public Information Office) chief Police Lieutenant Pauline P. Fernando said.

A report by Batangas Police Director Col. Glicero C. Cansilao to P/Brig. Gen. Jose Melecio C. Nartatez, Jr., Regional Director, PRO-Calabarzon (Police Regional Office – Cavite/Laguna/Batangas/Rizal/Quezon), the suspect is a resident of Bgy. San Rafael.

According to Soliba, on November 3, the personnel of the said police station filed a warrant of arrest against the suspect for violations of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and RA No. 10591, otherwise known as the “Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.”

The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 83, Fourth Judicial Region, Tanauan City, Batangas, on November 3.

Police seized some plastic sachets of shabu, approximately four grams valued at P27,200, and drug paraphernalia.

Although no gun was found in his custody, the suspect will still be charged with violating RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
