A TOTAL of 500,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine purchased by the national government flew in yesterday.

Philippine Airlines (PAL) spokesperson Ma. Cielo Villaluna said

PAL flight PR-359 arrived at the NAIA Terminal 2 (Bay49) at 5:18 p.m. form from Beijing.

The flight, she said, carried 500,000 doses of Sinovac vaccine representing the second batch purchased by the Philippine government.

Villaluna said PAL’s A330 (RP-C8789), which airlifted the latest batch of vaccines for the Philippines, was under the command of Captain Mitchel Lasmarias, assisted by First Officers Louis Patrick Relato and Lorenz Ledesma.

Chinese Interpreter Joann Yu Uy completed the flight roster.

Last March 29, the first batch of vaccines totalling one million Sinovac doses purchased by the national government from China was transported by PAL from Beijing to Manila.

The flag carrier also carried via a Beijing to Manila flight 400,000 doses of donated Sinovac vaccines.
