RIZAL 4th District Rep. Fidel Nograles thanked Pres. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. for declaring April 27 a special non-working day in Montalban in celebration of the town’s 153rd anniversary.

“On behalf of the district and town of Montalban, I would like to thank Pres. Marcos for his show of solidarity on this special occasion,” Nograles said.

Marcos, through Proclamation No. 515, declared April 27, Saturday, a special non-working holiday in the municipality.

The proclamation stated “it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Montalban be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.”

The lawmaker meanwhile invited tourists to visit the town.

“Welcome na welcome po kayo dito sa Montalban para makiisa sa aming paggunita. There are various historical and natural tourist spots that you can visit,” the solon said.

He said that tourists can visit various natural attractions such as Wawa Dam, Maranat Falls, Mt. Balagbag, Mt. Hapunang Banoi, or learn about indigenous communities at the Montalban Indigenous People’s Museum.

“Marami pong bundok at talon na maaaring dalawin para sa mga nature lover na kababayan natin. Magandang group activity ang pag-explore sa mga ito, na makakatulong din sa ating kalusugan at magpapayaman ng pagmamahal natin sa ating kalikasan,” said Nograles.
