THE National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has vowed to support Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, the elected Cavite representative but was appointed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

“The entire agency is committed to perform its mandate and support the leadership of the good Secretary,” NBI Director Eric B. Distor said in a statement.

Distor pointed out that the appointment of Remulla came at a time when the NBI is implementing its modernization program with the recent procurement of modern equipment worth hundreds of millions of pesos for the bureau’s enhanced intelligence and investigative services.

Remulla ran unopposed as Cavite congressman in the province’s 7th congressional district. He admitted that as a lawyer, it is a huge opportunity to serve the country as head of the DOJ.

“Imagine 11 agencies kasama sa DOJ family, so wala’ng simple. So wala isang tanong na pwede masagot, or isang sagot sa tanong na yan,” Remulla said.

The following are the attached agencies of the DOJ: Bureau of Corrections, Bureau of Immigration, National Bureau of Investigation, Parole and Probation Administration, Presidential Commission on Good Government, Public Attorney’s Office, Office for Alternative Dispute Resolution, Office of the Government Corporate Counsel, Office of the Solicitor General, Land Registration Authority and National Prosecution Service.
