Murder suspect killed in Rizal shootout
A MURDER suspect was killed during a shootout with policemen serving a warrant of arrest against him in his residence in Bgy. San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal on Monday morning.
Crime Investigation Section Chief PMAJ Elmer Monsalve identified the slain suspect as Ramon Quillo, 48, married, security guard and a resident at Lower Pinatubo, Amety Vill, Barangay San Jose, Rodriguez, Rizal.
Investigation showed that Quillo has a standing warrant of arrest for murder under criminal case number R-QZN-16-14567 issued by Judge Maria Luisa Lesle G Gonzales-Betic, of Branch 225, Regional Trial Court, Quezon City.
The warrant did not recommend the posting of bail.
Monsalve said the incident occurred while elements of the CIS were about to serve a warrant of arrest against the suspect at about 9 a.m., May 3, 2021, along Spillway corner Wawa Road, Barangay San Rafael, Montalban, Rizal,
Quillo, while on board a motorcycle without plate number, sensed the presence of the operatives and without provocation fired towards the approaching policemen who retaliated and neutralized him.
The suspect was declared dead on arrival at the H. Vill Hospital.
