DAVAO City — LAKAS-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte’s country-loop Mahalin Natin ang Pilipinas Ride (MNPR) caravan finally returned here.

The 28-day caravan has made 70 official stopovers across 34 provinces.

John Jagonia, the ride director, confirmed that the Philippine loop recorded a total of 81 driving hours to cover 3,579 kilometers, and 14 hours of ferry inter-island transfers.

Jagonia, who led the 12 core riders throughout the caravan, said the month-long ride is both an accomplishment to the riders, and their way of showing support to Duterte in her campaign.

“We are thankful to be able to do the loop with Mayor Sara. More than a personal milestone for us riders, it is also an opportunity to show our support for her candidacy,” Jagonia said.

On its way to Davao City, the caravan was welcomed by thousands of supporters in the towns of Libungan and Kabacan, and Kidapawan City in North Cotabato; and in the towns of Bansalan, Matanao, and Digos City in Davao del Sur.

Senatorial candidate Robin Padilla joined Sara in her journey back to Davao.

MNPR is Duterte’s first leg of the campaign. She is set to visit provinces and cities that were not included in the ride route.
