Mayor Tiangco dares brgy. officials: Exceed expectations
MAYOR John Rey Tiangco challenged barangay executives to always aspire for excellence as they serve their constituents.
During the Sustainable Management and Administration of Local Government through Reengineering and Use of Technology for Barangay Newly Elected Officials (SMART BNEO) Program 2023, Tiangco dared barangay leaders to go beyond expectations.
“Hindi sapat na sundin lang natin ang sinasabi ng DILG na mga programa. Merong mga standard pero hindi ibig sabihin, hanggang d’yan lang tayo. Ang gusto natin sa ating lungsod, parating lagpas tayo sa inaasahan sa atin,” he said.
The city government of Navotas, in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government, conducted a series of capacity-building activities for the newly elected officials of the 18 barangays in the city, and their respective Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairpersons and employees.
