Manila LGU activates 44 health centers
MANILA Mayor Maria Sheila “Honey” Lacuna-Pangan encouraged all Manileños to register under PhilHealth to enable them to get social health insurance coverage.
The mayor made the appeal following the activation of all health centers aimed to persuade the public to register under PhilHealth.
The simultaneous citywide PhilHealth registration began yesterday in all 44 health centers in the city’s six districts.
“Lahat ng benepisyo ng Philhealth, maibibigay sa inyo kung registered na po kayo,” Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna-Pangan said.
“Kaya pag-uwi nyo ng tahanan, hikayatin niyo pa po ang inyong mga kaanak at ang inyong mga kapitbahay na magregister,” she added.
The city government targets to accommodate at least 300 individuals per day per health center.
PhilHealth registration is in accordance with the Universal Health Care Law of the national government making healthcare more accessible and affordable especially for those who do not have instant access to quality health protection.
