THE Department of Justice-Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (DOJ-IACAT) reiterated its warning to overseas Filipino workers to remain vigilant against human trafficking.

The IACAT issued the warning after four Filipinos bound for Lebanon to work as household service workers were intercepted by the Bureau of Immigration (BI)at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.

Three of the victims were cleared for departure and were about to board their flight to Kuala Lumpur when they were stopped by BI agents on April 21.

The fourth female victim was stopped on the same day at the airport bound for Bangkok.

The IACAT encouraged the public to check the legitimacy of the recruitment agency and the job offer abroad with the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to avoid becoming human trafficking victims.
