Gatchalian welcomes ASEAN delegates to Manila
To discuss child rights protection
DEPARTMENT of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian on Thursday welcomed the delegation of member-states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to the opening session of the dialogue on child rights protection on Thursday.
The two-day dialogue, being held at the Manila Diamond Residences Hotel in Makati City, provides a regional platform to collaboratively discuss how to improve the promotion and protection of child rights in the region.
Present in the dialogue are representatives from the ten ASEAN member countries, groups, and other stakeholders who share the same advocacy with the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR).
