Gasoline prices up, diesel down

OIL firms implement today mixed price adjustments following following a round of increases in the last two weeks.

Major oil firm Petron Corporation and Pilipinas Shell yesterday announced a price increase of P0.30 for gasoline, P0.10 for kerosene while a rollback of P0.40 for diesel effective at 6 a.m.

Chevron Philippines, formerly Caltex, also announced the same mixed price adjustment which will take effect much earlier at 12 a.m.
Thai-led PTT Philippines and other independent oil firms such as Petro Gazz, Unioil Philippines, Jetti Oil, and Eastern Petroleum which do not sell kerosene announced a uniformed increase of their gasoline products by P0.30 centavos per liter while cutting the price of diesel products by P0.40 centavos per liter effective at 6 a.m..

Clean Fuel, another independent oil company, also announced the same mixed price adjustments effective at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

PTT Communication Officer Jay Julian said the mixed price adjustments of local petroleum products reflect movements in the international oil market.
