Fisherman held for guns
CAMP GEN. MIGUEL MALVAR, Batangas – Police arrested a 53-year-old fisherman after a search in his house yielded guns and ammunition in Lipa City, Batangas.
A report to Batangas police director Col. Pedro D. Soliba by Lipa City Police Station commander Lt. Col. Ariel B. Azurin identified the suspect as Rizalito Atilano alias “Lito” of Sitio Latag, Purok 4, Bgy. Halang, Lipa City.
Members of the Lipa City Police Station conducted the search based on a search warrant for violation of Republic Act 10591 or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act issued by Judge Leo-Jon P. Ramos of the Lipa City Regional Trial Court dated April 17, 2023.
Seized from the house of the suspect were an improvised shotgun, a cal. .22 revolver with two bullets, a magazine for cal. 45 with eight ammunition, eight pieces of ammunition for cal. 38, two pieces of cal. 22, 506 pieces of 5.56mm blank bullets and 16 pieces of 7.62mm blank bullets.
