Drinking session ends in ‘rape’
A WOMAN accompanied by her two friends went to the police station last Sunday to file a complaint against a drunk man who allegedly raped her inside the boarding house in Barangay Luta Sur, Malvar, Batangas.
According to Malvar Municipal Police Station Chief Capt. Aldrin Jay B. Baysa, the victim, was only identified as Agnes (not her real name to protect her privacy).
The victim positively identified the suspect, police said.
According to her statement to investigators, around 7:30 p.m. on June 12, she was with her two friends and the suspect while having a drinking session inside the boarding house in Bgy. Luta Sur.
She said after a few minutes, she felt drunk and dizzy and went to the comfort room to vomit, unaware the suspect had followed her.
And while inside the comfort room, the suspect forcibly hugged, undressed, and allegedly raped her.
Immediately, the town police personnel conducted a follow-up operation which resulted in the arrest of the suspect at about 10:30 p.m. in Bgy. Poblacion, Malvar.
