dead, 4 injured in Cavite road crash
SILANG, Cavite – A student was killed after he was thrown and rolled by an oncoming car in a four-car accident, Monday, June 19, 2023, along Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, Barangay Biga II here.
The 19-year-old victim of Tunasan, Muntinlupa City, died on the spot, according to probers.
Based on the initial investigation, at around 3 a.m., the student on board a Rusi Classic 250 motorcycle was crossing the said highway, followed by a Honda motorcycle driven by a male, 21, and another Mitsukoshi Jet Power scooter driven by a construction worker.
The construction worker and the victim had an alleged “argument,” and apparently, the victim sped away but accidentally hit and run over by an incoming Toyota Corolla.
According to investigators, the student suffered serious injuries and was declared dead on arrival after being rushed to the hospital.
The two riders and car driver are currently in police custody and also sustained injuries.
