When a man and his son were visiting Flint Castle in Flintshire, Wales, on August 16th, he snapped a photo that appeared to show a ghostly apparition in front of one of the walls of the castle. He only noticed the figure in one of his pictures after he returned home and was looking through them.

After noticing the strange figure, he sent his photo to Lynn Murphy who is known for investigating reports of UFO sightings and ghosts in Flintshire. She went into details about what the man had explained to her, “He told me there was nobody else there inside the castle at the time and he took lots of photos of his son.” “When he got back to his home in Flint, he looked at the photos he had taken and noticed something in the background of one of the photos. He zoomed in more and got the shock of his life.” “I believe it is an apparition.”

Murphy went on to say that she believes his photo captured a moment in history replaying itself at the castle, adding that she thinks the entity was a woman who was possibly holding a book in her arms. She then showed the picture to UFO investigator Russ Kellett who said, “It is one of the best photos of its kind that I have seen, and I have seen a lot. There is definitely something there, whether it’s a figure of a man or a woman. As always when dealing with the paranormal, you can’t quite put your finger on it.”

Murphy stated that she will be going to Flint Castle in hopes of catching her own evidence of the ghost. “I have taken photos there before that have shown blurring, so I think there is some kind of energy there,” she said.

There is quite an interesting history regarding the structure as it was the first castle constructed that was involved with Edward I’s campaign against Llywelyn ap Gruffydd. Construction began on it back in the year 1277 and it was mostly finished by 1284. It was basically built as a castle within a castle and was probably meant to be a safe location in case there was an attack as it had extremely thick walls. Additionally, it was the location for a famous meeting between Richard II and his rival Henry Bolingbroke (he would later be known as Henry IV) in the year 1399.

With so much history regarding Flint Castle, it’s not surprising that a ghost may have been caught on camera.
