Cops nab 2 for shabu, 1 dead in Cavite

IMUS CITY, Cavite – One of the 3 drug suspects died after resisting arrest from law enforcers during drug ops in the towns of Naic, Rosario, and Tanza on January 28, 2022.

Naic Police Chief Lt. Colonel Marlo Solero identified the suspect as Diego Flores, male, married, 39, elementary level, laborer, and presently residing at Brgy Timalan Concepcion Naic Cavite.

Flores sensed he was transacting with a police officer and then pulled out his short firearm and fired towards the police officer but the operatives were able to avoid the shots and return fire that resulted in his death.

Initial investigation showed the suspect is in the local police watch list. A buy-bust operation resulted in the neutralization of the suspect after he sold a small HSTPS of suspected shabu worth P500.00 to a police poseur buyer.

According to Solero, the neutralization of the suspect will significantly decrease the supply of illegal drugs in the adjacent barangays of Brgy. Timalan Concepcion Naic, Cavite.

Recovered from the crime scene is one caliber .38 revolver according to officer-on-case Police Staff Sargeant Richard F. Atienza.

In Tanza town, Ronnel Perez alias Ronnel, male, 33, single, painter and a resident of Brgy. San Luis 1, Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) Operatives of Tanza PNP conducted a buy-bust operation with coordination with PDEA Cavite resulting in the arrest of the suspect and the confiscation of 2 pcs. plastic sachets of suspected shabu, using 2 pcs. of P100.00, P500.00 used as buy-bust money, 1 revolver (paltik), 3 pcs. cal .38 ammo, and pocket money worth P500.00 in Barangay Bagtas.

The said operation was recorded using a body-worn camera according to officer-on-case Pat Mark Ian Parohinog.

In Rosario town, Anthony Enriquez Alias Nitoy, 37, male, single, jobless, and resident of Brgy. Ligtong 3, Rosario, Cavite – included in the station watch list and alleged member of Abutin Drug Group was arrested.

Confiscated from the suspect are 10 plastic sachets of suspected shabu, 2 P100 buy-bust bills, one caliber .38 revolver loaded with four pcs. of live ammo, and P128 cash.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of Naic, Tanza, and Rosario MPS Viol. of RA 9165 ad Viol. of RA 10591. Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunitions Regulations Act) in relation to Omnibus Election Code, Comelec Gun Ban.
