Cops get chicken food discount
STARTING this week, all active and retired Philippine National Police personnel will get a 20 percent discount on food products that they will buy and consume at any Chooks-to-Go restaurants in the country.
The big discount was part of a memorandum of agreement between the PNP headed by General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. and Bounty Ago Venture Inc. or BAVI.
The agreement aims to provide valuable support and benefit to the PNP, especially its personnel and their families.
Under the MOA, active and retired PNP personnel together with their dependents will now enjoy a 20 percent discount on food products purchased and consumed at any of the participating Chooks! Dine-in restaurants nationwide.
Additionally, active and retired policemen will be given a 10 percent discount on food products purchased at any of the participating Uling Roasters and Chooks-to-Go rotisserie store outlets in the country.
Center for Police Strategy Management director Brigadier Gen. Victor V. Arevalo said the discount being offered by the BAVI group will really be a big help to active and retired police officers and men and their dependents.
He said they take pride in forging a strategic partnership with private institutions such as BAVI, aimed at helping recognize the invaluable contribution and sacrifices of the men and women of the police force in maintaining peace and order and implementing the laws in the country.
Brig. Gen. Arevalo said that in particular, the agreement reinforces the importance of ‘public-private partnerships’ in addressing the diverse needs of the police force and their families.
