THE random manual audit of votes in the recently-concluded May 9 presidential elections showed that there was no fraud committed during the electronic transmission of votes.

This after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Monday reported that the random manual audit of votes in the 2022 elections showed a 99.93% overall accuracy rate so far.

Commissioner George Garcia said that 128 of the 757 randomly selected clustered polling precincts have been checked.

“Ang sabi ng ating random manual audit sa 128 out of 757 na mga presinto ilan ang nakita nila, 99.93% ang nagta-tally,” he said.

Garcia added that 99.97% accuracy rate was reported for the presidential elections, 99.96% for the vice-presidential race, and 99.97% for senatorial and partylist polls.

He said that the random manual audit was led by the Comelec, poll watchdogs like LENTE, an association of certified public accountants, and the Philippine Statistics Authority.
