CIDG nabs 5 in ‘one-time, big-time’ ops

THE Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) RFU 4A has arrested five suspects following the confiscation of four loose firearms and seized P2,000,000 worth of evidence during the CIDG’s “One-Time, Big-Time” (OTBT) operations.

CIDG RFU 4A under the leadership of P/Lt. Col. Joel Manuel Ana, Officer-in-Charge (OIC), conducted nine operations in the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) region that resulted in the arrest of five persons, among them was a “most wanted person” (MWP) in the regional level of PRO (Police Regional Office) 4A, two other wanted suspects, a member of CASAO criminal gang operating in Batangas province who yielded a loose firearm, and an illegal manufacturer of liquified petroleum gas (LPG).

The OTBT operations resulted in the confiscation of four loose firearms, one by the implementation of a search warrant for violation of RA (Republic Act) 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), while three weapons were voluntarily surrendered by the firearm owners, and the seizure of P2,000,000 worth of evidence for illegal refilling and manufacturing of LPG by virtue of implementation of a search warrant for violation of RA 11592 (LPG Industry Registration Act).
