Caloocan opens vax hubs for faculty members, students

THE City Government of Caloocan opened the city-run university and public hospital to accommodate faculty members and students who wanted to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Mayor Oscar “Oca” Malapitan said 500 slots were allotted for faculty members and students at the University of Caloocan City (UCC) EDSA campus while 300 slots at the Caloocan City North Medical Center.

“Layunin ng pagbabakuna na matiyak na lahat ng mga kawani, guro at mga mag-aaral ng unibersidad na may edad 18 taong-gulang pataas ay nabigyan na ng proteksyon laban sa virus,” Mayor Oca said.

The city chief executive added that this was also part of the preparation the moment that the national government will allow the conduct of face-to-face classes in college.

Base on the data provided by the City Health Department, around 1,292,762 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to city residents as of September 6, 2021, with 800,544 for first dose while 492,218 for second dose.
