BOC-NAIA, CSC share PGS insights

THE Bureau of Customs-Port of NAIA (BOC-NAIA), on May 06, 2022, conducted its first governance sharing activity with the Civil Service Commission.

The event was attended by Civil Service Commissioner (CSC) Director IV of Office of Strategy Management (OSM) Atty. Helen Grace T. Ramos.

On the part of BOC-NAIA, the team was headed by District Collector Carmelita M. Talusan and members of the Port’s OSM and District Office staff.

The two agencies, which both undergone their respective PGS (Performance Governance System) journey, shared their respective breakthroughs, such as modernization efforts, integrity projects, and transparency initiatives.

Director Ramos lauded BOC-NAIA’s progress in terms of its PGS journey, which they will share with the 1,500 members of CSC.

For her part, Collector Talusan thanked CSC for sharing their successful PGS journey, which is now in its “Island of Good Governance” phase achieved after the institutionalization phase of PGS.

BOC-NAIA, under the guidance of BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo B. Guerrero for its part, remains committed to becoming an island of good governance and a beacon of change, promoting transparent and efficient public service. By Jun I. Legaspi
