IMMIGRATION officers assigned at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) arrested a Chinese on Friday after presenting a fake entry visa.

The Chinese, identified as Lin Jingxiong, 30, arrived from a Cebu Pacific flight from Singapore.

BI agents prevented him from entering the country after being found to be blacklisted in the country.

During primary inspection, Lin also presented a Philippine visa that later turned counterfeit based in BI’s forensic documents laboratory test.

“Our immigration personnel are highly trained in detecting fraud,” said BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco.

“We are also equipped with the latest technologies for forensic document analysis,” added.

Records show that Lin was blacklisted since February 2023 for overstaying in the country.

He was immediately arrested and will remain in the BI’s facility in Bicutan, Taguig pending deportation.
