DIGOS CITY, Davao del Sur – Barug Davao del Sur, a local political movement here, on Wednesday vowed it will “do everything” to ensure the victory of presidential bet Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. (BBM) and vice-presidential hopeful Sara Duterte.

Gubernatorial candidate Carl Jason Rama Bautista, who is also the lead convenor of Barug, said his group’s direction is aligned with the UniTeam’s.

“Gagawin namin ang lahat para manalo yung tandem na Bongbong Marcos-Sara Duterte,” he said.

Barug, which means “Binag-ong Administration, Responsable ug maUswagong panGobyerno”, pushes for bureaucratic reforms in the province, and gives more privileges to the people.

Bautista underscored Marcos and Duterte’s true heart for the poor that “set them apart” from other candidates.

“May puso para sa mga kababayan na mahihirap. Gusto nila (mahihirap) ng bagong lipunan, ng bagong gobyerno para mamuno,” the gubernatorial candidate said.

Duterte’s visit to the province on Wednesday as part of her scheduled Davao Region sorties where she, Marcos, and the UniTeam senatorial bets and the Barug provincial slate were warmly received by a mammoth crowd in Bgy. Tres de Mayo here.

Television actress Bianca Manalo, comedian Eric Nicolas, rapper Andrew E, and bands Aegis, Plethora, Fridays, and the Duke performed at the event.
