Acorda effects another PNP revamp

PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) chief, General Benjamin C. Acorda Jr. on

Monday ordered another major reshuffle of key PNP positions which affected eight senior generals.

The reorganization saw erstwhile PNP Director for Intelligence, Brigadier Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. being named as the new National Capital Region Police Office director in Metro Manila vice Major Gen. Edgar Alan O. Okubo who was designated as the new PNP Director for Police-Community Relations.

Erstwhile PNP-DPCR director, Major Gen. Mario A. Reyes was named as the new PNP Director for Logistics while Brig. Gen. Ronald O. Lee, the former PNP Deputy Director for Intelligence is the new PNP Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development.

Lee will be taking over as DHRDD director vice Major Gen. Jon A. Arnaldo who was named as the new PNP Director for Intelligence vice Nartatez.

Maj. Gen. Eric E. Noble , the erstwhile PNP Academy director was designated as the new PNP Director for Investigation and Detective Management. He was replaced as PNPA director by Brig. Gen. Samuel C. Nacion.

Brig. Gen. Alan M. Nazarro was transferred from the PNP Directorate for Information Communications and Technology Management and named as the new PNP Highway Patrol Group director.

Nartates, Reyes, Lee and Noble are all members of Philippine Military Academy ‘Tanglaw-Diwa’ Class of 1992 while Okubo is from PNP ‘Tagapagpatupad’ Class of 1992.

Arnaldo is a classmate from PMA ‘Sambisig’ Class of 1991 of Gen. Acorda.

Nazarro and Nacion are also PNPA graduates.
