Marcos appoints Tugade as MIAA GM
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. appointed Atty. Jose Arturo Tugade as the new acting General Manager of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).
Atty. Tugade is the son of ex-DOTr (Department of Transportation) Secretary Art Tugade, who Cesar Chong replaced.
The younger Tugade has a background in the travel and airline industry, particularly in logistics, petroleum, and freight or cargo handling.
MIAA supervises the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), which is considered a “window of the country.”
Officials and employees of NAIA, airline companies, and other agencies working at the premier airport welcomed the appointment of Tugade.
